Q : Because we care about your health...
A : If you have a medical history, if you suffer from a chronic ailment, have been recently hospitalized, or are currently ill or pregnant, ask for medical advice before any flight and take all necessary precautions to travel in the best possible conditions.
In the event you cannot perform certain tasks on your own, such as fastening your seat belt, drinking, eating, etc…, we recommend for your comfort and safety that you do not travel alone.
Do not hesitate to inform our booking agents and our check-in personnel of your handicap or your special needs. This will ensure special assistance when you board and disembark.
Please keep your medical treatment with you and/or any other item linked to your well-being, such as glasses, contact lenses, etc…
For your comfort, all our flights are non-smoking.
Have a good trip with Air Tahiti.
Q : Traveling with infants or children
A : An "Infant" is a passenger of less than 2 years old, that is, traveling before the second birthday. He/She will travel with an adult over 18 years old if the accompanying person is not the father or the mother. The infant must be held in his arms. Infants have neither an assigned seat nor free baggage allowance. Infant tickets costs approximately 10 % of the full-fare Adult HT.
A “Child" is any passenger from 2 to less than 12 years old ( that is, traveling before the 12th birthday). He/She will travel with an adult over 18 years old if the accompanying person is not the father or the mother. Children pay 50% of the full Adult ticket HT fare and have the same baggage allowance as adults. Families accompanied by young children are boarded first.
Infant and Child fares may not be combined with other discount.
Q : My child travels alone. What should I do ?
A : If children from 4 to 12 years of age are travelling alone, you should inform our agents at time of booking. In this case, children will be reported as UM (Unaccompanied Minor). The person owning the parental authority fulfils a liability discharge which gives the last and first names and the age of the child, the flights taken, the person who will bring the child at departure references and the ones of the person who will pick up the child on arrival. Minors above 12 can also travel under UM quality on parents demand. A child suffering a physical or mental handicap can not travel in UM and will have to travel with an accompanying adult.
The person who accompanied the child at departure has the liability to inform the person waiting the UM at arrival of the flight number. An unaccompanied minor entitles 50% percent reduction on full adult ticket before tax fare. This fare may not be combined with other discount.
Q : I am pregnant
A : Pregnant women have priority at boarding. Please, make yourself known to our services.
We advice you to ask for medical advice before any flight and take all necessary precautions to travel in the best possible conditions.
If you need to receive treatments during the flight, you will have to be accompanied with a person who is able to assist you.
From 8th month or if your pregnancy is delicate, your travel is subject to the presentation of a medical certificate dated less than 8 days prior to travel. This medical certificate will attest that your pregnancy condition allows flight travel without inconvenience for the baby you carry or for you.
Q : I am a person who has a high body mass
A : Persons who may want or need to occupy 2 seats are invited to inform the agent when making the reservation and pay for the additional seat reserved.
Q : My mobility is reduced
A : Your mobility is reduced as a result of a disability (whether motor-based, visual, hearing or mental), your age or an illness.
Do not hesitate to inform our booking agents and our check-in personnel of your needs (need of a wheelchair, need to be helped while coming in and out of the plane…). This will ensure special assistance when you board and disembark.
In the event you cannot perform certain tasks on your own, such as fastening your seat belt, drinking, eating, etc…, we recommend for your comfort and safety that you do not travel alone.
If you travel with a wheelchair and if you exceed your baggage allowance, you have a discount of 50% on excess baggage related to your wheelchair.
If you are visually impaired, you can travel without being accompanied on ATR flight only, and subject to operation constraints.
On the other hand, for your safety, you imperatively have to be accompanied on Beechcraft or Twin Otter flights (flights without flight attendants).
